The Move II – Now in the cloud

0

Ok, its complete now. What a relief! At last I was able to successfully setup my Cloud Server and I am successfully been able to run my website www.endofroads.com from the server. It took a steep learning curve but I am really very happy. Now I am sure I can save around ₹ 10,000 a year on hosting with a dedicated IP. Now I can say I have an entire cloud server running Ubuntu 11.11 with a dedicated IP and on a rock solid infrastructure.

But I must say, I have absolutely no complains of my previous account at hostgator.com, which I am going to use for secondary purposes.

If any of you are wondering of how to move a WordPress account from a shared hosting to a cloud server (e.g. Amazon EC2 for me), please drop me a comment or just wait a few days, I promise to make a full featured tutorial for all the people, who has limited knowledge of technical items.

But today, I am tired and I am very very happy and satisfied with me. Good night everyone.

The Move – from .info to .com

0

Finally I have decided to move from victorsinha.info to endofroads.com. The move basically came from a few things. Firstly was that I wanted to move away or better upgrade from the “.info” domain name to a “.com” domain name. Experts say it looks more professional. Is it so ? But anyways I liked the shorter “.com”. Secondly, that previous domain name had my whole name, which was a bit confusing. Some people may think what does the word “sinha” after Victor means.

Actually that’s my surname or family name. And finally, with this new domain EndOfRoads.com I will be able to cover more topics that I want to write on. I will keep you all posted. Please keep watching.

And this time I have vowed to make this a habit of writing every day. Today was(huh!) Friday.(Thank God its Friday) and its around 2:47 AM . So basically its Friday night and Saturday early morning. I am alive and alone. Decided to start off with this post. So here I am. Writing.

Please bear with me. I will try to write understandable English. Thanks again for bearing with me. That’s all for today. See you all next time again.
Thank You.
