Go Kariting @ Grips Bangalore
Had a great round of Karting today at Grips Bangalore with my friend. What a way to finish the day.
For benefit of all Grips is @ Mysore Road, Bangalore.
......Directions will be like this.....
Start from Electronics City -> Take the NICE Road -> Reach Bannerghatta Road -> Take the NICE Road again till Mysore Road -> As you enter the Mysore Road take a left turn and find the Raja Rajarajeshwari Hospital ....Then find the Grips board and the demo cart on display.
Charges
12 BHP Carts @Rs. 150 for 6 Laps
16 BHP Carts @Rs. 175 for 6 laps.
18 BHP Carts @ Rs. 200 for 6 laps
My Feedback : The carts are good specially the high power ones. The 12 BHP one you can drive through the whole track without lifting your foot off the accelerator. So as you can guess the Track difficulty level is Begineer. But has plenty of overtaking places, so outing with friends will be really fun. There are some places of the track where the road ahead literally gets invisible due to the elevation of the road. Some will like it(me too liked it), but I guess it was a technical snag on the part of construction. And finally value for money part. I know Go Karting is never a value oriented sports, but still I felt the price is on a very higher side. The amount they are charging for just 6 Laps is way too much. I guess 8-10 Laps for the same price would had been decent. So, it is not at all a value for money proposition.
Pros :
+ Carts are good
+ Fairly even race track
+ High Speed Corners
+ Low rush even on weekends
Cons :
- Track Difficulty is on lower side
- Uneven elevation
- High price
Overall Rating - *** (3/5)
Try out with your friends and you will not feel bad bout it.
Another WOW Day – Part One
Today is Saturday and like every Saturday, today was again special. Nows whats so special in a Saturday. First of all no office.
But still I am working the whole day. Yes you heard it correct I am working in a Saturday also. Actually I am working(totally voluntary) on Saturdays for a Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. Now thats sound big. I do nothing special, just spend some time with the poor animals. What I did this Saturday was something special. I will tell about this later on. Hold On.
I have a question - Does Parakeets talk ? No no I am not talking of teaching them to talk. Just search the internet with the term "parakeet" and you will find the first few links of how to teach a parakeet to talk. Thats bad I must say. They are built to live for themselves and not talk for us. And those who are thinking of getting a parakeet to teach to talk for their guests, please go and buy a tape recorder instead. One more thing if you are one of those peoples, please leave the blog now. I don't write for everyone.
And yes now back to the question - Does Parakeets talk ? Yes they do talk among themselves. And I found them to be the most talkative of the bird family. And once they start, you must think of having some ear plugs. The Center has 11 parakeets. 10 of them are rescued from "humans" where they were treated as "fortune teller","greeting to guests", "show piece", etc. But even if they fulfilled all the purpose they were used for, they were kept in the smallest possible cages. Where on simple day to day movement they had to part with their tail feathers. So they are rescued from those places and are under recovery in their huge enclosures. Today I was feeding these small birds with wild berries. I saw a pair staying closely. One male and one female. Whenever I was giving a berry to the male it was trying to bite my finger aggressively. I understand it hates humans as of now. But when I was trying to feed the female, it was very happy to take the berry from my hand. But the male was not letting it to. It was looking like he was just shouting on her. Its amazing. They were really taking among themselves. The female was responding with various sign as well as vocals as if she was saying...just one please. It continued for sometime. The male did not at all let the female take the berry from my hand nor did he himself. But then it happened, like any other human couple. Fight broke out and the female was now in dictating terms, and both of them were now taking the berries from my hand.
. What is the lesson learnt ? I have learnt my lesson, have you ?
Feeling very tired now. So signing off. I will continue about this adventure tomorrow. Thank You for reading. Adieos.
